The house of Beethoven
Can you imagine living in an attached house next to a deaf pianist?
Beethoven’s Violin and a piece of his music. We were not supposed to take pictures in the house but my finger must have accidentally hit a button. Anyway, that’s my story and I am sticking to it. I got so excited here that I bought TWO t-shirts. I will try to calm down.

Cheese is really a big thing here. We saw lots of stores like this one.

We were able to tour inside this windmill. There are living quarters in there and all the gears and other workings of the mill are made of wood.
In Europe these birds are called Gray Herons. They are very similar to our Great Blue Herons.
Antwerp, Belgium
Antwerp was the end of our first cruise and the beginning of the second one. Between cruises, we spent 3 days here at a hotel and had a good time just wandering around.

Aaismeer Flower Auction Cut flowers are flown here from many parts of the world, are auctioned off and then sent out to almost anywhere. They spend just a few hours here. You can visit just a small part of this place. The entire building complex is the size of 20 soccer fields. Outside, there is a constant flow of trucks bringing in flowers from, and taking flowers to, the airport.

Trip to a tulip farm. I always knew that Pat was outstanding in her field.
We were allowed to pick a dozen tulips and take them back to the ship.
Here is a man who is also outstanding in his field. Yes, those are all tulips.
Keukenhof Gardens: 70 acres of flowers, grass, trees, ponds and beauty everywhere. They plant over 7 million bulbs every year, and it is open only about 2 months a year.
